Spring 2022

This spring I spent a very nice week working together with my friend Kathrin Hügel in her lovely new workshop in Strasbourg. We know each other from working together at the Philip Brown Workshop in Newbury. It is always eye opening to work in another workshop, and to get each other's views on what we are doing. Kathrin was working on her new cello with a pear wood back, and I did some work on the scrolls for two violins I have in the making. One day we were joined by Eun Ah Kim, another friend who recently moved to Strasbourg. It seems Strasbourg is the Place to be! Eun Ah and me were in the Newark School of Violin Making together. She was working on the templates for a Bergonzi model violin.
Thank you very much Kathrin and Paul for your hospitality and for the nice time together.
